Whom We Help

This Wednesday, we’d love to introduce you to Nairi and share his dream with you!

He is 11 years old from Bagratashen. Nairi dreams of having an electric scooter so he can ride around with his friends

He loves drawing, reading, and playing board games. At the Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Armenia, Nairi has made many friends. As soon as he receives his medication, he and Tamara — whom you might remember from one of our previous posts — rush to the playroom to enjoy lots and lots of games!

One of Nairi’s brothers is currently serving in the Armenian army. When Nairi goes back home he loves riding bikes with his other brother.

Wednesdays are about our little heroes!

Meet sweet 5-year-old Anna from the Gegharkunik region — our adorable red-cheeked warrior with a big imagination!

She dreams of having a shiny red car (and clearly sees herself driving it even at age 5).

While undergoing treatment at the Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Armenia, Anna loves to be in the playroom — especially she likes cooking with Legos and painting with watercolor.

Her latest masterpiece was a cozy house for one of the Three Little Piglets.

Sweet 13-year-old Anushik is our Wednesday Hero.

This quiet, gentle girl dreams of having her own telescope.

Behind her beautiful smile is a long and challenging journey of cancer treatment.

Anushik loves reading fairy tales — Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty are two of her favourites.

When she’s at home, she enjoys drawing with her grandmother. She’s fascinated by nature and all its wonders.

Her dream of owning a telescope is all about exploring one of nature’s greatest miracles — the starry night sky — and letting herself dream even bigger.

Anushik has a younger sister. It makes her sad that they have to be apart, but she believes with all her heart that she’ll get better — and one day, the two of them will gaze at the universe together.

This Wednesday, we’re excited to introduce you to Tamara — an 11-year-old beauty from Sevan.

Tamara dreams of having a pair of sneakers with wheels, so when she gets tired walking home from school, she can simply roll her way back.

Her mornings always begin with reading. After finishing the Children’s Bible and the Old Testament, she’s now making her way through the New Testament.

While receiving treatment at the Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Armenia, Tamara loves playing team games in the playroom with her friend Nairi.

“It’s true that there aren’t many entertainment venues in Sevan—like shopping malls or playgrounds as in Yerevan—but there is one thing that only Sevan has: Lake Sevan.” says Tamara.
