Yerevan – On October 7, the Spouse of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of City of Smile Charitable Foundation Anna Hakobyan together with First Lady of Belize Kim Simplis Barrow, who arrived in Yerevan within the framework of the 23rd World Congress on Information Technology, visited Hematology Center named after Prof. R. Yeolyan.
Accompanied by Samvel Danielyan, Director of Hematology Center, Gevorg Tamamyan, Head of the Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, and Ester Demirtshyan, Executive Director of City of Smile Charitable Foundation, Anna Hakobyan and Kim Simplis-Barrow toured the center, talked to children with cancer and blood disorders and their parents.
At the end of the visit, 16-year-old Astghik Loretsyan, a beneficiary of the City of Smile Foundation, presented Mrs. Simplis-Barrow with a tapestry she made.
Belize First Lady Kim Simplis-Barrow, one of the most influential women in Central America, is an author of various social movements, an ambassador for children and women’s rights. Being a cancer survivor herself, she has authored various global programs for the treatment of children with cancer. Mrs. Simplis-Barrow is the founder of the Lifeline Foundation.
