On May 13-14, the third meeting of EurADO (Eurasian Alliance in Pediatric Oncology meeting) took place in Minsk, Belarus. City of Smile charitable foundation, represented by the Executive Director of Foundation Ester Demirtshyan, also took part in the meeting. The Armenian delegation was also represented by the head of the Hematology Center Samvel Danielyan, haematologist-oncologist and advisor to the Director of Haematology Center Gevorg Tamamyan, the medical nurse from the Pediatric department Taguhi Hovhannisyan and the palliative care doctor from Muratsan hospital Narine Movsesyan.

The meeting was organized by Global Pediatric Medicine Department at St. Jude Hospital and the Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Center for Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology.

The event was aimed at continuing the work launched in 2018, which includes optimization of medical care for children with cancer and raising the level of children’s survival in the Eurasian region.

The meeting was held in the format of working groups in the framework of which the participants discussed the priorities and targets for progress and sustainable development of the sector.

During the discussions, Director Ester Demirtshyan presented the main activities and programs of the Foundation.
